First and foremost, we seek individuals who are genuinely
interested in using their unique gifts, talents and
abilities to enhance the quality of life for our patients
and their families...who are sensitive, caring and mature...and
who are non-judgmental & understanding. Commitment,
flexibility and a sense of humor are also important.
Hospice volunteers represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds,
interests and ages. Yet they all share one common desire:
to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by
giving generously of their time, energy and talent.
There
is tremendous flexibility in when and how volunteers
spend their time within these areas. Depending on their
duties, volunteers can choose to work during the day,
in the evenings or on the weekends. Hospice of Frederick
County makes every effort to match assignments with
the volunteers schedule & availability.
